Tobun commended the gesture of the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, “for bringing life back to Epe.” The lawmaker expressed the belief that with regular power supply, the economic fortunes of the people of Epe would improve. He said “Our amiable governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has deemed it fit to assist the people of Epe in getting regular power supply by ensuring the procurement of a 1250 Amps high tension circuit breaker to replace the damaged one in order to get electricity supply as quickly as possible in Epe and its environs. “I believe we have able hands at the Ikorodu sub-station that will definitely take good care of the equipment. If you look around, you will see that all the equipment here are well maintained and in good condition.” The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, Alhaji Gafar Sanuth, while lauding the initiative, disclosed that the state government had distributed 49 transformers to some communities in the state.
