The member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency 1, Mr. Abiodun Tobun, has said a 1250 Amps high tension vacuum circuit breaker the state government procured to replace the old one being used since 1981, will address the problem of protracted blackout in the Epe area of the state. The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja will today deliver judgment in Senate President Bukola Saraki’s matter. Saraki, who is standing trial on a 13-count charge of false assets declaration before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), has appealed the tribunal’s decision to try him. On October 16, the appelate court, after taking arguments from parties fixed judgment for 2pm on October 19. It did not; the judgment was then reserved indefinitely. It was learnt yesterday that notices have been sent to the parties informing them about today’s date. The delay by the Court of Appeal to deliver its judgment stalled proceedings before the CCT, which at its last sitting, elected to await the appellate court’s decision before taking any further steps in Saraki’s trial. Respondents in the appeal are the CCT, the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), the Federal Ministry of Justice and a lawyer in the ministry, Muslim Hassan.
